- Supafest - Eve/Jay Sean/Sean Paul/Pitbull/Kelly Rowland/Akon = dancing for 6 hours straight to some awesome RnB tunes!

I'm fighting a cold at the moment, but hoping it clears up by the weekend as we have a girls camping trip + Sunday sesh planned!

New Frocks

After the week I've had, I needed some splurging to lift my spirits. I am always on the lookout for pretty going out dresses, and was pleased to find two that I loved. The blue Tokito dress was $99 with $20 off, it also came in black and I am considering getting that as well as I don't really have any LBD's. I've loved the Witchery Silk Batwing Sleeve Dress since it came out, but didn't want to spend $170 as it is a very light fabric. After seeing it on sale for $97 I decided to grab it. I have a few nights out planned and also a day at the races so both of these dresses will definitely be worn in the next few months.

Winter Wishlist

Hello all! Apologies for the irregular posting, I've been so tired & busy lately, and so much is happening! I am in a good place right now, spending a lot of time with my beautiful girlfriends and enjoying life! These last weekends just gone have been amazing! I had the AC/DC concert on Saturday 7th of March, and it was brilliant! I was blown away with the amount of fans in acca dacca shirts, the show, the volume, and the enthusiasm of Brian & Angus! If I had to pick a highlight of the show it would have to be Angus's 10-15 minute guitar solo (he is amazing!) and the last song of the night, 'For those about to rock, we salute you.' The canons going off were awesome, and the fireworks display at the end was the icing on the cake! Unfortunately my camera was being stupid so we only got a few pics on my besties camera.

This weekend just gone I spent with my nana (she is 92 years old). My pop passed away almost 2 years ago, so we try to spend as much time with her as possible so she doesn't feel alone. Although I'm sure it's pretty hard not to feel lonely when you were married for 65 years! On Saturday night I went to Puppetry of the Penis with a girlfriend. I wasn't sure what to expect, but it was a hilarious night! I have not laughed so hard in a long time. I really recommend the show for anyone thinking of going for a laugh :) A couple of weekends ago I had a lovely picnic dinner at Kings Park with my friend Nique. We had chicken/rolls/salad for dinner, and chocolate coated sorbet bites for dessert.

I am trying super hard to save my pennies these days, so haven't been purchasing as much as I used to. I have put together a Winter Wishlist, and I'm going to attempt to only buy things from my list.

So far I have;
-Country Road black leather gloves
-Warm black trench coat from Target
-Long thick black leggings with zips
-White knit beanie with black bow from Sportsgirl
-Big W 'Boyfriend' blazer
-Navy & cream cardi with gold buttons from Sportsgirl
-Mens hoodies for those cold nights, a bargain at $7 from Target

What I need/want;
-Big warm leopard print scarf. (If anyone knows where I can find a reasonably priced one please let me know!)
-Blue or red trench/coat
-Dark blue or black straight cut jeans & more leggings
-Forever New white beanie with black stud bow
-Ankle booties (I try every year to find cute/comfortable/affordable boots and fail!)

I'm hoping to stop by Witchery on the weekend and pick up a dress & some blouses that are on sale atm. I will report back if I find anything. Friday night I have a picnic planned with my bestie, and Saturday night I have a friends birthday bbq/drinks. On Sunday I'll be relaxing and finishing my book, 'A Song In The Daylight' by Paullina Simons. I hope everyone has a fabulous weekend! :)

Keeping Busy...

I have been trying to busy myself the last week, and make plans for upcoming weekends. The boyfriend & I decided to end our 6 1/2 year relationship the day before Valentines Day. Luckily V-Day has never been a big thing for us, and this year I was at my first ever festival (Good Vibes!) so I was distracted. I've been surprisingly well, what has helped the most is the amazing support from my family + friends! Since Saturday however I have been spending spending spending! Which needs to come to an end as I'm hoping to save up for a home!

Fashion mags/fresh baked scones & plenty of chocolate are my comfort items.

Some of my recent purchases - Sugar Baby glitter eyeliners, Sportsgirl bow beanie, Equip earrings & wrap bracelet, Cotton On bow back dress + Big W ballet flats & across body bag.

This past weekend I kept busy with spending lots of time with my beautiful friends;
Friday night - San Churros in Leedy & late night shopping with Monique
Saturday - Meeting with a real estate agent in the morning/Cuddly Animal Farm in the afternoon/cocktails/clubbing/dancing/many laughs + Maccas breaky with the girls & heading to bed at sunrise.
Sunday - Nursing a terrible hangover with plenty of sleep, movies & chocolate.

The beautiful Elena has been a facebook friend of mine for a few years - I randomly discovered her on myspace & was captivated by her stylish photos. I am completely inspired & jealous when I check out her photos. She has kindly allowed me to share with you my favourite outfit pictures from her late 2009 honeymoon in US!

My absolute fave outfits are the pink Docs & the tie dye jeans! I can't wait for winter!

Every day should be a weekend

The past few weekends have been amazing, spending lots of time with friends, enjoying the sunshine, heading out for drinks with friends, + taking some shots with my new camera. This weekend just gone the bestie & I cured our hang overs with Sunday Sizzler breakfast, then a trip down to Rockingham for a late lunch, to relax on the beach + swim til 9.30pm. The next day my friend Monique & I braved the heat to visit the zoo + took a few shots of the animals. The elephants were my favourites :) For Australia day we headed to my brothers friends house for pre drinks, & then we were meant to head down to the foreshore to watch the fireworks, unfortunately a few of us lost track of time & ended up staying on having more drinks. Here are a few pics from the weekend...

New Shades

As mentioned in my last post, I purchased a few pairs of sunnies whilst on holidays. The folding Wayfarers are probably my favourites as they're so compact, have a cute little pouch, they're comfortable + actually suit me, where as the normal Wayfarers didn't.

OPI Strawberry Margarita is my fave shade for summer. I don't know what I did before OPI Drip Dry! This stuff is great, dries super fast & no more smudges! I really recommend this!

I've been playing around with my new camera, learning how to use it etc so expect some posts in the future with some of my test shots. All of the above were taken on my new camera. :)

I start my new job tomorrow, a little nervous & excited at the same time. Met with my team on Friday and they all seem like lovely people. Better get to bed so I'm all fresh for my first day. Hope everyone has a great week! :)

Holidays are coming to an end

I have the weekend left before heading back to work on Monday. :( I've had an amazing 2 1/2 weeks off, spent time with awesome friends & family, gone on picnics, eaten out at so many delicious places, chilled at the beach, seen some great movies - Avatar & Sherlock Holmes, enjoyed a cocktail or 5, discovered a new love for wine, had girly sleep overs with scary movies, enjoyed a Sizzler breakfast (yummy!) and shopped too much. These are my 2 fave purchases of my holidays; Chloe Tilia sunglasses (as seen on Leighton Meester & Rachel Bilson, my favourites!), and Canon 1000D (Finally! :) ) I've gone a little nuts on sunglasses this last week, I will share pictures in future posts.

Can't wait to get out and take some shots with my camera! My bf has just purchased a Canon 50D so we're going to head out together this weekend and learn how to use them! Also have a boating trip planned on Sunday with some lovely friends.
My first new years resolution is to cut back on my spending and save a decent amount by the end of the year.
I start my new job at the same company on the 18th of Jan, so looking forward to it! Hopefully it all goes well :)

I hope everyone had a fabulous Christmas! And that all of you lucky enough to have a break, are relaxing and having a blast :) I'm stoked to have a much needed 2 1/2 weeks off. The weekend before Christmas I had a fun night out for a friends 21st Masquerade Party, hence the feathered mask below. The next day was really hot, so the boy, my brother, his girlfriend & I headed down to Fremantle for lunch. We had delicious fish & chips at Kailis & cooled off by the water.

After lunch we went up to Kings Park to get some photos (my brother put together 2 really cute picture frames with photos of us for our parents for Christmas.)

I had a wonderful Christmas day, up early to open presents, then over to the boyfriends for lunch with his family, then back to mine for dinner with my family. I received such awesome & thoughtful presents that everyone knew I would love :)
I actually received 2 picnic baskets, one from the parents & one from the boy, so I have to return one. Can't wait to take this out tomorrow for a picnic up at Kings Park :) I also got Ed Hardy Eternal Love perfume (smells so yummy!) a white picture frame, jewellery, + a digital set top box from the parents.

The Guess necklace is from my brother, I absolutely love it! The Tiffany & Co Paloma Picasso Loving Heart Ring is from my bf, it's so gorgeous irl! Sadly it's too small (only fits my pinky) so I am swapping the size over on Tuesday when I head into the city to hopefully pick up some bargains.

Things are heating up in Perth at the moment, summer is definitely here! I'm looking forward to enjoying my holidays with friends & family, getting out in the sunshine & using my new picnic basket & beach bag, having cocktails by the water & having a bunch of friends over for New Years.

Sorry for the absence in posting, my internet at home has been so slow lately, it takes too long to upload pics etc. I've also been too exhausted to jump on the net after work. Hopefully things are looking up now, with 2 1/2 weeks off for Christmas, and then new career prospects in the early new year *Fingers crossed*

I thought I'd start with a few photos of my favourite things at the moment. This vase is on top of my jewellery box, with the products I use daily. I got these apricot coloured roses yesterday from Coles, they're super pretty. My favourite make up products that I use religiously - MAC Studio Sculpt Concealer, Max Factor False Lash Mascara, MAC Dazzleglass Creme in Perfectly Unordinary, MAC Patisserie, MAC Hug Me, Clean & Clear moisturiser, MAC carbon eyeshadow. I also use MAC Mineralize Skinfinish in Natural in Light/Medium (not pictured.) Also love this Diva pearl cocktail ring, vanity mirror from Howards Storage World. My brothers girlfriend got back from Bali this week and brought me back this little bracelet. Apparently it's made out of Aussie coins.

I wasn't really looking for a new phone, until last weekend when I was playing with a friends iPhone. The next day I headed to the Mac store & purchased the white 3gs 32gb iPhone! I am so in love with this, I can surf the net all day (which is perfect as work now monitors internet usage) & I am addicted to the apps :)

I did a bit of shopping today and picked up these adorable little butterfly earrings. This swallow necklace was a gift from a friend at work. :)

I am loving Lush products lately. I was recommended Angels on Bare Skin Cleanser by Nikki, and instantly loved how soft & glowy my skin was. After doing some research on youtube I decided to try mixing it with Sea Salt (which smells yummy!) My skin has been so smooth, soft & blemish free lately. I really recommend trying these products.

I saw this Jeanswest dress on the website this morning and fell in love with the colour. I pushed it & the matching belt, which will be perfect for this hot weather :)

I'm on a shopping ban... Really

Why is it that whenever your trying to save money, a million cute things pop up?! Christmas is also the worst time of the year to try and keep the savings in check, I have so many birthdays/presents & bills coming up. Getting paid monthly does not help at all :( I also need to learn to not buy things for myself this time of year, and instead put them on my Chrissy list & receive them as gifts instead... But when I decide I need to have something, I need it now! So these are hopefully my last purchases for a while...

Body Shop products - Hi-Glimmer Body Glaze in Nutmeg + Vanilla, Vitamin C Micro Refiner Exfoliator and Frosted Shimmer Lotion in Merry Cranberry. All products smell amazing! I actually went into The Body Shop for gifts and walked out with these things for myself.

True Blood was recommended to me by my friend Monique, and I finished the first season in one weekend :) I am hooked already! I love Gossip Girl!

Phew! No wonder my savings are looking a little sad right now.

The sun is shining

This weekend was beautiful, warm & sunny in the west! I had a fabulous weekend! Saturday included joining a new gym/doing a workout/getting pampered with a haircut & head massage/shopping/eating out with boyfriend, brother & his girlfriend, and Sunday shopping in town/picnic in the park/dinner at Sebastians Italian restaurant/and a movie.

I picked up two pretty dresses on Saturday. I have lived in this white summery dress since I bought it. It's the perfect dress to chuck on over a bikini & accessorize with a big hat & sunnies to wear to the beach. I have a Bardot dress exactly like this one shoulder dress, but it doesn't fit, so I was excited to see this one in Portmans. :) (Sorry about the picture quality, lighting is bad in my room and doesn't do the dresses justice!)

Pretty Purchases October

As I mentioned in my previous post, I didn't pick up too many things in Singapore as we spent most of the time exploring. I've included the few things I picked up with some purchases from home over the past month or so. My fave item of the moment is this bright floral dress from Target. This will be perfect for the races.

I got these 2 dresses on the left from Myer as they were super cheap, and the cream/sequin dress is off ebay :)

This Ladakh dress is also off ebay, and the white blouse is by Bardot.

These are some of my duty free purchases. MAC make up worked out SO cheap! I was in a bit of a rush and couldn't grab more than a few things. I got more studio sculpt concealer, eyeshadows in Swish, Pink Freeze, Tilt and Woodwinked, and Dazzleglass creme in Perfectly Unordinary. I also got Vera Wang Princess perfume (my new favourite scent) and DKNY Be Delicious (finally!)

I got this orchid necklace from the gift shop at the Singapore Flyer. I also got my mum a beautiful gold orchid broach.

Singapore had some lovely little Diva-esque accessory stores, I wish I had of gone a bit crazy and it works out so cheap. I got this beautiful little pearl bracelet with a crystal bow, a pearl headband and some other random earrings/broaches etc.

My last purchase in Duty Free were some goodies by Swarovski. I wanted these Signature Hoops a year ago when I saw them, but decided to hold off. I'm glad I did as I ended up saving something like $70 on these 2 purchases.

Before I left Perth I couldn't resist the Sportsgirl 15% off storewide sale, so I picked up this gorgeous satin clutch. I also bought an orange/red check shirt and the tie dyed leggings. The wayfarer style sunnies are from Dotti and a bargain at $15. They have little birds on the corners, and suit me much better than the actual Raybans.

I'm quitting the gym I'm currently at and starting up with a new gym with a friend from work. I need to get my butt into gear and get beach ready as I really want to save for up to go on a relaxing beachy holiday!

Singapore

Hi everyone! I have been finding it hard to post on my blog lately, nothing too exciting to write about and it takes ages to upload photos! I thought I'd share some photos from my first overseas holiday :) It was a very spontaneous trip, Jetstar were having a ridiculously cheap sale on flights to Singapore, so the boyfriend & I decided to go. I had to organize my passport & got it in less than a week, and headed off a week later. Singapore is such a beautiful city, so clean, trees everywhere, easy to get around (taxis are so cheap!) most people speak English, SO much shopping etc etc. I can't wait to go back! We were there for 4 days as we didn't want it to be an expensive holiday and we didn't want to take too long off work.

We arrived in Singapore around 5.30am and headed straight to our hotel. We stayed at the Pan Pacific in Marina Bay. It was gorgeous! The service was so good, people opening car doors for you, greeting you as you walk into the hotel, helping out wherever you go. I really recommend staying here for anyone thinking about going to Singapore. Each morning we had the most delicious Continental Breakfast in one of the hotel restaurants. There's no better way than starting the morning with fresh croissonts, eggs, pancakes, waffles, bacon, fruit & freshly squeezed juice.

After a quick cat-nap, we headed off to explore the area around the hotel. We caught a train to Orchard Road to do a bit of shopping. I didn't buy much, there was so many shops! I was completely overwhelmed. We spent the whole day walking around the shops & streets. That night we had dinner at Keyaki - the Japanese restaurant in our hotel, beautiful food!

On the second day (Saturday 17th October) we went to Sentosa Island. So much to do there, but so exhausting walking around in the heat all day. We went on the Luge & Skyride, so much fun! I held a white python, and we chilled with a drink at the Wavehouse. Later that afternoon we went on the Singapore Flyer. Such a beautiful view! That night we went into Little India with some friends who were staying at the same hotel. It was crazy busy, apparently it was Indian New Year so everyone was celebrating. All the restaurants were extremely busy so we headed to Clark Quay for dinner at Burger King Bar. After that we went to Boat Quay for a drink at Eski Bar. I had read about this in one of the brochures, but it was really disappointing.

On Sunday, the boyfriend wanted to go on a boat so we went to Batam in Indonesia. It was quite a culture shock for me, after not much sleep the night before and a long boat ride I was quiet emotional and felt very out of place (every second person was staring at me.) So after 15 minutes we booked a return ticket to Singapore. That night we went to MOS burger for dinner and then got a taxi to the zoo to go on the Night Safari :)

On Monday we had breakfast & relaxed by the pool, then headed to the airport and spent a good few hours shopping in duty free before leaving at 6.30pm. I will do a separate post for the few things I have purchased there and at home. Below are some of our trip :)

I Love Witchery

There's always something at Witchery that catches my eye... a pretty dress, a ruffled blouse, or a soft leather bag. I love that you can create a full outfit with their range of clothes/shoes & accessories. Although the prices are usually pretty high, I can't help but lust after many things. Sometimes I'm lucky enough to pick the items up when they're on sale, but tonight whilst browsing the site, I came across these 2 amazing dresses... I am considering checking them out instore & possibly lay buying one (or both!) I don't own a LBD, so I think this layered lace panel dress would be a classic addition to my wardrobe. I'm also a sucker for anything ruffled or frilly, so this cream belted dress is no exception. I'm already planning heels & accessories & hair dos to wear with both dresses. I am also a big fan of Witchery handbags, the leather is always super soft, & they're big & spacious. This Giselle Bag is lovely!

Much Needed Splurging

Last week was a stressful one for me with work. I decided to splurge without feeling guity. Here's some of the goodies I picked up. Al the clothing is from Sportsgirl - black leggings with zips up the back, blue singlet, blue tie dye top with sheer & beaded back, tie dye top with gold sequin straps. I went a bit crazy with accessories, they are from Diva/Sportsgirl/Live etc. I also picked up the fake Chanel earrings for only $15. I know how some people feel about fakes, but I have the real Chanel CC earrings which were a pretty penny, and a crystal fell out :( So I don't like wearing them except for special occasions, so the cheapies are great for a night out & I don't have to worry if I lose them.

On the Sunday my brother & I had friends over for a bbq & drinks. Was a great night! I love long weekends. I made yummy daquiris & the best punch. Looking forward to this weekend, need to do a bit more shopping & on Sunday I'm doing the Twilight Breast Cancer walk. We do a 4km walk, then watch an outdoor movie & picnic in the park. Sounds like a perfect Sunday! :)

Road Trip

I'm finding it so difficult to find things to blog about, or find the time to sit down & post on my blog. My new job is very tiring, especially with the extra travel & longer days. 2 weeks ago, the boy & I decided to take a long weekend & head down south to beautiful Bunker Bay. We had 3 of the most relaxing days, ate some delicious food, drank some amazing cocktails, & took in the stunning views. We stayed at the lovely Quay West Resort Bunker Bay. It was a little pricey at prices from $209 a night, but I think it was worth it. The villa was huge & very modern, the resort was well looked after & had lots to offer, & the restaurant & bar served the yummiest food!

We couldn't resist a trip to the animal farm again, although a lot of the animals seemed to be tired, or sick :( At the resort restaurant - Other Side of the Moon - we had the best dinner! I had a cajun chicken burger & my boyfriend had a steak sandwich. Topped off with an Aero cocktails (which actually tasted like the Aero chocolate bar) it was one of the best meals I've ever had. On our last day down south with went to Duckstein Brewery & had another delicious meal - I had mozarella stuffed chicken with pancetta & roasted potatos, & the boy had steak on a bed of creamy mash.

I will make more of an effort to post more regularly, especially now the weather is getting better & I'm getting out & taking more photos :)

More Recent Purchases

After getting some awesome news about my new job (a payrise!) I decided to treat myself to a few things I had my eye on. This Bardot dress & blouse caught my eye online, but I wanted to see them irl before I bought them. They are both beautiful items, and well priced as well!

Last weekend I went to town with the boy to pick up a bag I had my eye on in Country Road. This red patent wallet stood out at the check outs, so I added this to my collection.

I am now the proud owner of the Evie Sling Bag! This bag is truly gorgeous, soft leather, comfortable to wear, zips everywhere & plenty of space! I love big bags!

I am also a Lush convert after I spotted this glitter filled soap as I was walking by. It has a delicious citrust/fruity smell & tiny gold glitter through out, which will look fantastic with lightly bronzed skin this spring/summer. The sweetie pie shower jelly was so much fun to poke & play with, I had to pick up a small tub. I can't describe this smell, but it's yummy!

I was on the lookout for some new nailpolishes & had seen some pretty spring colours from Revlon. 3 of these shades came in a little zipper bag, & they smell like berries when they dry! The smelly shades are - Not So Blue-berry, Raspberry Rapture, Passionate Fruit (which is on my nails in the last pic) & then the other 2 shades are Pink Orchid & Plum Attraction.

I spotted this Sportsgirl maxi in the shops the other night, but had to resist as it's $170 :( I'm hoping this beauty will be mine after pay day before they sell out. I love maxis & pastels will be beautiful in Spring :)

Awaiting Spring

I'm usually a big fan of Winter, but since I'm getting home from work & the gym later, all the sunshine is gone by the time I get home. I'm really looking forward to picnics & bbqs with friends, blooming flowers, walks on the beach, being near the water, going for walks around my area after work and still having a bit of sunlight left to enjoy. Not to mention the beautiful spring dresses & tops that seem to be popping up all over the place, ready for the warmer months! This is not good for my savings! I especially love maxi dresses!

Sometimes I buy something and it sits in my closet with the tag on for months because I feel guilty about buying it. I did a post back in June/July about this tan bag from Sportsgirl, which sat untouched for a while. This week I decided to show it the sunlight! I'm really loving it as it fits so much in there. It really doesn't look so 'plasticy' in real life, and looks really stunning when you can see the gold hardware.

In my bag; Pratten Aqua Eel Skin Wallet, Mimco Purse, Charlie Brown sunglasses, Motorola V9, L.A. Candy (loving this!), hot pink ipod nano, Nivea lip products, MAC Skin Salve, Panadol Rapid (works a treat!), random posts its, pen, spoon, chewies, Impulse Romantic Spark deodorating (this smells beautiful!) Witchery compact mirror, keys & swipe card for work.

My boy got back from Japan on Sunday, and got me many little treats. This little MOS Burger mobile phone accessory is one of my fave things :P

I started cleaning my walk in robe out about 3 weeks ago, as I bought new wooden coathangers to replace all my old wire/plastic ones. The intention was to donate/sell stuff I no longer wear, & transfer everything else to wooden coathangers. This is what it looks like at the moment.

There was actually a huge pile of handbags on this shelf, but I was desperately searching for my hand weights last night & pulled most of them down...

Last night I couldn't actually 'walk in' to my robe, so I transferred a pile of clothes/shoes/boxes to the entrance instead :S I also have a huge pile of clothes on a chair in the corner of my room & hanging over the end of my bed.

I suspect the rest of this week I will be too exhausted to finish cleaning, as I am working at our city office, which involves me getting up at quarter to 6. I am not a morning person! :-( When I finish work I will be hitting the gym, then home for dinner & a work out dvd, before falling into bed. I will post photos once I have gotten around to sorting my closet out!

Hula Bula

I hope everyone had super weekends! This weekend was one of the best I've had in a while. On Saturday my friend Nique & I made cupcakes & watched Twilight - the perfect combo :) We spent about an hour decorating them, so much fun! Later that night we headed to town to Hula Bula - a very small tiki cocktail bar in the city. It was awesome to catch up with friends & have a few delicious cocktails! Later on we moved onto a few more bars/clubs for dancing/drinks & catch ups with friends, as well as the best cheesey pizza at 4am!

Lazy Weeks

This last week I've been sick with the flu, so I've been blowing off the gym to stay in and relax. Instead, I've had some me time with chocolate, manicures, strawberry puree body lotion (not that I could smell it) & magazines. I then decided to spring clean my room, & sort through old magazines. I'm in the process of ripping out anything inspirational ie/ fashion or beauty related so I can put it all together in a file. Next I'm going to tackle my closet.

I spent the weekend with my bf, who is off to Japan for 17 days this week. We went to town on Saturday so I could check out the Naked Honey perfumes at MAC. I was undecided between the 2, but the bf preferred the Africanimal one so I got that, along with the skin salve, carbon eyeshadow, and a 266 brush. Mac in Myer & DJ's had 15% off so I was pretty happy with my purchases.

I've had my eye on this Layered Frill Shell Top from Witchery for a while, so I was stoked to see it on sale for around $55.

Saturday night the boy & I stayed in & watched movies, & Sunday we went to Harbor Town for a look around, I picked up a Nike hoodie for 30% off, and then went into the city for Japanese for lunch. :)

This week I've decided to take off Thursday & Friday from work to see the boy off, and then spend some time getting arty. Last week I stocked up on paints/pastels & inks from the art shop, so I'm going to get creative & paint something on the canvas I bought. I'm also going to try my hand at some headbands & accessories. I really want to get back into photography as well (it was my fave subject at school & after seeing so many beautiful photos on blogs I want to start having fun with it) so I'm thinking about saving up for a decent camera - I would love to hear your recommendations? Hopefully this week I can figure out how to use my scanner & upload some of my sketches I've done in the past. :)

Weekend Pampering

This Friday was my mums birthday. I had this bouquet made up & sent to her as a surprise, & on Friday night went out for dinner with her & my dad.

On Saturday I was treated to a hot stone massage & french manicure - a birthday present from my friend. I've never had either before so it was a fantastic birthday present. 1 hour of pure relaxation, that left me in the happiest mood all day. :) I definitely recommend a little self pampering every once in a while!

After that I went shopping to pick up a few things for my mum. Myer was having a big sale so I bought her a new black handbag. I then stupidly stumbled into the clothing section & picked up a few things for myself... Unfortunately none of which were on sale :(

This is my new love - Escada Ocean Lounge perfume. I've been smelling it all day!

Saturday night I finally saw Transformers - Revenge of the Fallen. I ♥ Shia LaBeouf! I thought the movie was fantastic, just as good as the first one.

My Sunday was spent sleeping in/exercising/Chinese food & Dark Angel. I hope everyone had a wonderful weekend! x

Recent Purchases & Birthday Goodies

This weekend I had my birthday dinner at Viva Italian Restaurant. The service what not so impressive but the food was delicious! I had the Chicken Pollo with Fettuccine. The meals were really generous for the price! I got spoilt rotten by my beautiful friends, and had such a good night catching up with everyone & sharing some laughs!

On Saturday I did a bit of shopping with my brother. After reading the latest Shop Til You Drop magazine I was lusting after some lip products. I couldn't resist these 3 - Revlon Matte lipstick in Pink Pout (this is gorgeous), Revlon Super Lustrous gloss in Nude Lustre & Loreal Color Riche Shine Gelee in Pretty Peach (this has tiny little gold glitter flecks in it.)

My brother got me this gorgeous Prada-esque bag in Bali. I've used it every day since he gave it to me. Unfortunately it is starting to fall apart in a few places, so I might take it to a shoe repair man to see if he can work some magic on it. He also got me Ralph by Ralph Lauren perfume.

A beautiful box full of goodies from a dear friend. There were also chocolates in here which I ate as soon as I got home from dinner. The lip balm is so smooth & shiney.

She also got me these pearl studs (I've been needing a pair for ages.)

I needed some black heels for work so picked these patent ones up from Spendless for $50. One foot is a little loose so I need to find a way to stop my foot from slipping.

I got this pretty little dress & slip from Dotti, the colours are very pretty.

Also from Dotti I loved this batwing top.

& this is the other one. Both are from Target and were less than $45.

I've also finally figured out how to make my photos open full size when you click on them (Thanks for the help Nikki!)

Long weekends = bliss!

I took a few days off work last week to enjoy a long birthday weekend. Wednesday was my birthday, I spent it with my family (my brother was flying out to Bali that morning - which turned into that night) so I spent most of the day in bed as I was up really early. I got lots of lovely pressies, I feel so spoilt!

On Thursday the boy & I headed down to Margaret River for 2 nights. Even though it was rainy & cold, it was still a beautiful & relaxing weekend & the sun came out several times for us. We shopped in the little boutiques in town, had cooked bbq breakfasts & yummy dinners, roasted marshmallows on the fire place in our chalet, watched the sunset at the lookout & went to the Sunflower Animal Farm. We got back Saturday afternoon and I dropped my boy off & picked up my bestie to get ready to go to a friends birthday. When I got home this package was waiting for me from MAC. =D After my bad experience at the MAC counter I placed an online order & got it within the week. I got Solar Bits in Scatterays (I ♥ this so much!) Sushi Flower e/s, Sumptuous Olive e/s, Blacktrack Fluidline, & the 209 eyeliner brush.

I bought this top/tunic from a little boutique in Margaret River. It looks really cute with tights & boots.

This dress was a birthday present from my parents. It's from Target & only costs $45! I plan on wearing it this weekend to my birthday dinner & drinks.

The weekends seem to be going quicker & quicker. Luckily this week I only have to work 2 days as I've taken a long birthday weekend to go down south! Tomorrow I start working in a brand new office which is 5 minutes from home, which means a huge saving in fuel/travel time & being able to come home for lunch :)

This weekend I went to the movies with a friend from work & saw The Hangover. It was hilarious! Then we went out for hot fudge sundaes & chats afterwards. Saturday I went shopping in town with the boy, then stayed in & watched a movie Saturday night, & Sunday went to Harbor town & bought some gym clothes.

So on Saturday I went to MAC counter in Myer intending to buy a few things, but ended up with a rather unfriendly Sales Assistant. She was rude & unhelpful which made my shopping experience unpleasant. I've never had a decent SA at the MAC counter in Myer, & I always leave in a bad mood. Very unhappy with their customer service. I ended up only getting 2 eyeshadows, Stars N' Rockets & Dazzlelight. I went over to the MAC counter in David Jones where I had a lovely & helpful SA & I purchased the Cremesheen lipstick in Speed Dial. I think in future I will be purchasing my items online, or if I'm in town from DJ's.

I then went to Mimco & purchased the Deco Hinge Watch (a birthday present to myself.) I've wanted a cuff style watch for a while so I was pleased to find this for a decent price.

Looking forward to getting this week over with and enjoying a relaxing weekend away.

Goodbye Weekend...

And so another wonderful weekend comes to an end. My weekend was spent relaxing & a party with the boy, shopping with my mum (I picked up some great buys from Target which I'll do a post on in the future) & Sunday walks with the bestie around the beautiful Swan River (roughly a 6km walk.)

I am addicted to the polaroid program, I think it makes the photos look more interesting.

I can't wait for the next couple of weeks - pay day/shopping/movies/birthdays/dinner & drinks & a long weekend down south with the boyfriend. :)

I hope everyone had a fabulous weekend, and doesn't struggle too much on Monday :)

No matter how much I buy, I always have new items to add to my wishlist. It's my birthday in a few weeks and I've asked for a few items from my parents that I've wanted for a while but never got around to buying.

Dark Angel Season 1 & 2.

Vampire Academy, Frost Bite & Shadow Kiss by Richelle Mead. I've heard that these books are in some ways better than Twilight, so I'm eager to check them out!

DKNY Be Delicious perfume. I don't remember the last time I bought a new perfume, & I love the smell of this one.

Witchery bow front cardigan. This seems to have disappeared from the website so I'm hoping it's still available in store (hopefully on sale.)

I saw this white cardi on frockyou.com.au, it looks perfect for winter, but it's $150. Hopefully I can find something similar for cheaper.

I spotted these Mimco Underwater Love Earrings online last week, and the shimmery aqua caught my eye!

Boston Babe heels in black patent. I have these in nude & they're really comfy, so I'm wanting a black pair for work, since my current shoes are starting to come apart.

I am a bit of a Sims nerd, and can't wait to play number 3. I'm not sure it will run very well on my laptop though, thus moving on to my next lemming...

24" Apple iMac. I'm hoping to save enough money to buy this baby this year sometime.

As I'm writing this list I'm thinking of more & more things to add, so I should quit while I'm ahead.

I went shopping yesterday with my friend in town as I had been hanging out to buy a few MAC items. I got;

All That Glitters e/s, Honeylust e/s, Mineralize Skinfinish Natural in light, #150 Large Powder Brush & Studio Sculpt Concealer - was meant to be NC20 as the SA tested it on my skin, but she gave me NC35, so I now have to go back to town to exchange it! Not happy!

The eyeshadows are so pretty! I had to limit myself to 2, but there are a few more colours I'm lemming.

I've wanted OPI Strawberry Margarita for a while but it was always sold out on 8ty8.com so I picked this up from David Jones. I love the colour!

This crystal bow broach from Portmans caught my eye, it looks very similar to the Samantha Wills Beau Beauty necklace & ring. These little crystal studs were only $6.

I noticed the 'The Frame' tan bag in both of the Sportsgirl stores in the city, and couldn't stop thinking about it, so went back & bought it. I am a sucker for tan bags! This opens up like a big purse, can be worn across the body, and the strap is removable so you can use it as a clutch.

I found this dress on sale at Witchery for $80, reduced from $220! I wore this out last night with my nude heels & pleather jacket from my previous Recent Purchases post :)

I also got a pair of dark bootleg jeans from Target for $25! The only thing I am still looking for is a pair of flat ankle or calf boots for winter. Then I need to go on a bit of a spending ban.

I've always enjoyed seeing photos of what people carry in their bags. It's amazing the amount of stuff we fit in there.

I've been using the Mimco Button Bag in Mercury for the past couple of months. I had been lemming the button bag for years, but never bought it as it is quiet expensive. When this one popped up on ebay I decided to finally purchase it. I got it for $280 including postage, which is still expensive, but much better than $450! I think it was a great investment as I get so much use out of it, and can fit a lot of stuff in there - it's great for work!

Thanks to Mr Rudd for funding some of my recent purchases. I hadn't been shopping for a while so went a bit over the top, but managed to get a few things I needed or had my eye on.

I have wanted a nude pair of heels for some time, originally having my eye on the Peeptoe Miss Buckinghams but not wanting to spend $250. I noticed these Boston Babe heels at Shoe Show for only $80 so snapped them up.

On my way to the check out I spotted these black studded flats. I'm not usually a ballet flats girl as they give me blisters, but these are so soft & comfortable I couldn't resist.

I also thought they'd go well with my Witchery Max Stud Bag which I bought a few weeks back & Sportsgirl studded belt.

I couldn't resist these Mimco Crystal Pearl Studs that have been on my wishlist for a few months.

And while my brother was purchasing a shirt at Live Clothing I picked up these crystal earrings by The Cats Meow for only $12. They are so sparkly in real life :)

I also got this black pleather jacket from Jeanswest. I was hoping Target would sell the leather jackets again this year as I was too slow last winter, but haven't seen anything yet, so took the plunge as this Jeanswest jacket is so soft & warm.

And last but not least, I bought these Mimco Pearl Cluster Drop earrings off ebay for only

$55! (I love earrings!)

There have been a few other random purchases of late that I will upload shortly. There are still a few things on my wishlist for winter which I will also do a post about in the near future. :)

Welcome to my first ever blog! :)

As an avid reader of blogs for the past year or so, I had toyed with the idea of starting my own. My biggest concern was that people wouldn't find it interesting, & that I wouldn't know what to post about. I have taken the plunge & decided to start as many of my fave blogs have inspired me & I want to use this as a means to get more creative. I'm hoping this will be a collection of fashion & make up posts, things that inspire me, wishlists & art & random photos.
